Dawn came to live here at Whisperfield at 8 weeks of age, and making herself right at home was no problem. She finished her Canadian Championship while still a puppy, and earned her FDJ (Field Dog Jr) title 4 months later. In June, she won Best Puppy in Sweeps at the SWOntario Sporting Group Specialty, with an entry of 59 puppies. At her first American show, Dawn received Reserve Winners Bitch, at the GSP Club of WNY Specialty, and also went BOS in the Sweeps. Dawn was shown occasionally in the US, during the 2005 summer months, and held her own against the American competition, attaining Winners Bitch and Reserve Winners Bitch several times. She also won the Sweepstakes at the GSP Club of Greater Pittsburg Specialty in Ohio on Aug 6/05. In Ft. Wayne, Indiana on Nov 6/05 Dawn received her 1st MAJOR. Dawn was shown occasionally over the next winter and spring, and then finished her Amercian Championship with a bang!! going WB for a 5 pt major at the GSP Club of Ohio Specialty, and then at her next American show, just 3 weeks later, taking a 4 pt major at the Steel Valley Cluster, GSP Supported Entry at Canfield, Ohio, (her 3rd major). The very next week, at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Canada National Specialty, Dawn received a very well-deserved AWARD OF MERIT placement. At the next GSP Club of Canada National Specialty held in this area (Aug 23/2008), 3 months after having her first litter, Dawn won BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX to "Duncan", the male that she had been bred to in March!!

Dawn attained her American Junior Hunter title in September/2007 in 2 weekends - 4 tests !!

Dawn has beautiful dark pigment, and gorgeous dark eyes. A very feminine gal, who has matured into a beautiful lady!! No mistake there !!

In Dawn's 3 litters, she produced many CKC/AKC/UKC Champions, with Hunting Titles in Canada and the US, as well as loving companions that will be cherished forever.

Dawn is now enjoying her retirement, living with a great family with children and another Whisperfield Shorthair.
